I love taking city shoot at night and make an effect from car light (straking light),
In this session I just want to share my experience in city shoot at night.The tools that I usualy use are; tripod, wide lens or standard zoom lens (for example
canon lens 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 EF-S and Tamron Lens 28-200mm F3.8.5.6 Aspherical IF [XR] Macro)
Before I want to get a good angle to shoot, I just looking for the best angle in the afternoon before I take a night shoot. So I know where I have to stand. If the angle is on the high building, in Jakarta we must get a permission from the management building. or if the angle it s on the bridge we have to becarefull, because on the bridge in Jakarta sometimes is not save, so I suggested bring some friend to accompany you.
Now set your camera,
If you get the right spot, right angle, put your camera on tripod, and now turn on your camera and set the aperture on your camera. make the aperture on your camera become F22 and set your shutter speed (approximately arround 10 second or 25 or bulb setting if it necessary in very light condition). this will make a straking light effect from car or street light.
Now you are ready to shoot.....
